My in-laws kicked me and my newborn out, and they soon regretted it

Hello, everyone! Mila here. As a mother to a one-year-old, life is busy, but nothing prepared me for what recently happened. Imagine being kicked out of your in-laws’ house with your newborn—exactly what I faced.

Living with my husband Adam’s parents, the Andersons, seemed fine until their constant bickering escalated. What started as petty disagreements over things like the TV remote turned into screaming matches. One night, after a tough day, I asked them to keep it down as the baby was sleeping. Mr. Anderson snapped, insisting, “This is my home, and I won’t be silenced.” He told me to leave and wait for Adam to decide if we could return.

Stunned, I packed up and went to my mother’s house, feeling completely alone. Adam was furious when he found out and rushed home to confront his parents. The next day, we returned, but the Andersons were unapologetic. The tension worsened, with Mr. Anderson even threatening to kick Adam out if he didn’t follow their rules.

Days later, the police showed up—Adam had reported them for evicting us from a home he had secretly bought in his name. The Andersons apologized, but I made it clear they were no longer welcome in our home.

Finally, with my baby sleeping peacefully, I felt safe. Was I being unreasonable?
